IRACS Rope Access Training

IRACS is an ISO/IEC 17024:2012 accredited certification body for Level 1(Basic), Level 2(Intermediate) and Level 3(Advance) rope access personnel. IRACS sets out competency requirement for Level 1 Level 2 and Level 3 as defined in the ISO 22846 standard Code of Practice. IRACS confirms the competency of certified personnel through training, examination and certification which has validity of 3 years from the date of examination.

Pre-requisite for training

Candidate age shall be at least 18 year.

Physically capable of performing the tasks during the training and examination ie. Do not have any physical disabilities.

Candidate shall submit medical evaluation form F-37 which is available on IRACS website.

Training duration: 6 days – Theory and Practical

Examination

  • All candidates shall demonstrate their competence through theory and practical examinations at their level being examined which shall be examined by the IRACS examiner. Candidates shall succeed in both examinations to award IRACS certification.
  • IRACS Examiner shall provide question papers which set out by IRACS to all the candidates at the time of examination start. Examiner then evaluates the answers.
  • Duration of theory exam for Level 1 and Level 2 is 40 minutes and for Level 3 is one hour. Duration of practical examination is six hours for all the levels of candidates.
  • Candidates shall score minimum of 80% in theory exam. Scoring below 80% is fail. If candidates make three minor and one major mistake on practical examination is fail.
